The success of the Irish Open is dependent on peoples support not just fighters, but coaches and officials also. it is about the martial arts community and people associated with it, cooperating and running a fund raising event for a very worthy charity.
The Irish Open is run under the rules and regulations of WAKO. Therefore all participants may be tested under the WADA/WAKO Anti Doping rules. All Athletes agree to abide by the WAKO Anti Doping Rules and regulations under the auspices of the Irish Sports Council Anti Doping Unit and agree to be tested if requested to do so.
Masters Seminars
We are delighted that the following world class Coaches will participate in the 2012 Seminars.
The Seminar will take place on Thursday 1st March in Citywest Conference Centre, City West Dublin from 7pm - 9.30pm. We all know who they are but check out the some information and some video links below of these amazing athletes

Raymond Daniels
Mr. Daniels is currently the Number 1 Point Fighter in the World and has held that position for the last six years, referred to as the “Michael Jordan,” of martial arts. He is currently taking on the World of Full Contact Kickboxing and is as of yet undefeated with many knock-outs under his belt. His experience in the art of fighting has earned him the position of Captain of the L.A. Stars World Combat League. He led his team to winning a full contact kickboxing World Championship and was crowned the MVP of the World Combat League. He is the most sought after fighting instructor in the world today. He has taught seminars all over the world, in places such as: North America, South America, Ireland, London, Spain, Italy, Australia and Norway.
A second generation martial artist with over 20 years of martial arts training, Mr. Daniels brings a lot of energy and experience with him. A retired police officer and father, he understands the importance of discipline and focus in our everyday lives and works diligently on passing that knowledge along with his martial arts skills to all his students. Always demanding 100%, Mr. Daniels helps his students live their true potential. Mr. Daniels is currently a 6th degree black belt and holds black belts in Kenpo, Shotokan and American Tae Kwon Do. His goal is to pass on the martial artist way of life to his students, through the teaching of self discipline, self confidence, goal orientation and perseverance. Through these traits Mr. Daniels strives to create exceptional martial artist and better human beings.
Sensei Jack Felton
Mr. Felton has been training in Martial Arts since the age of 5, He is rated the #1 Sport Karate Fighter in his weight class. He is a member of the L.A Stars World Combat League, which is Chuck Norris’ full contact fighting league. He was won many sport karate world titles in NBL, NASKA, Ireland, Australia and France just to name a few. His experience as a world class athlete shines bright in his teaching style. With his innovative teaching style and techniques he keeps challenging his students mind and body. Teaching them to persevere and push themselves to their limit and overcome any obstacle placed in their path.
Joey Greenhalgh (Straight Up USA) Bo Staff
Joey Greenhalgh is one of the most accomplished Bo Staff competitors in the World. Joey created many of the text book moves used today in competition.
Sensei Steven Horst
Mr. Horst is currently a 4th Degree Black Belt. He received his black belt in 1996 and has black belts in American Tae Kwon Do and Goju-ryu. He has over 15 years of Martial Arts Experience. He is a World Champion Forms Competitor and has won multiple forms world titles in places such as Ireland and France just to name a few. While keeping his classes fun and exciting Mr. Horst pulls out and expects the best from his students. He doesn’t compare any of his students to each other but teaches them to compete against themselves and challenge themselves to achieve their highest goals in life.
Mr. Horst is a martial arts master technician, his belief that everyone can improve on everything is what drives him to continue to help his students strive towards excellence. If he were an artist he would be compared to that of a Michelangelo. Constantly striving toward perfection, even though he realizes that perfection is unattainable. He enjoys passing on his knowledge and preparing his students for life. He is commitment to teaching personal development and the highest quality of martial arts possible. His calm demeanour and attention to detail is what makes him one of the best in the world at what he does.
Sensei Chris Walker
Mr. Walker has been training in the martial arts since 1987. He is a truly a very gifted and talented martial arts instructor. He is a world champion in forms, fighting and weapons. He also specializes in grappling and gymnastics. With many full contact fights and grappling wins under his belt he is a great and well versed addition to the instructional staff at WCK.
His high energy and lively personality is what makes his classes fun and exciting. He has the ability to captivate his students attention while pulling out their best qualities. Mr. Walker enjoys teaching and has devoted his life to the learning and the understanding of martial arts. His goal is to pass on the tools and knowledge that he has learned. He feels that it is his mission in life to return the support and kindness that were shown to him by his instructors and mentors.
The Seminar is on a pre registered basis only. Limited class size, so book early to avoid disappointment.
